
Off-The-Beaten-Track Academy Programme This programme focuses on socio-economic development through job preparedness opportunities for learners doing grade 10. At the same time it promotes environmental and tourism awareness and highlights opportunities within both sectors and to a larger degree expose learners to the outside world during their school going age. The learners are nurtured through the programme which enable us to assess and regularly monitor their progress until they leave school for tertiary education. The programme does not only give learners an opportunity to explore opportunities but also inculcates commmunity patriotism culture by teaching them to give back to their communities at an ealry age. |

Challenge Africa Programme Working in partnership with the British based stakeholders Ambur Limited and Accounting for Africa, Imbumba identifies projects throughout KZN, Mpumalanga & Swaziland that require support and help them secure the much needed funds to improve and sustain their livelihood. Projects for 2010 were – March – Mtuba Drop-in Centre sponsored by HSBC Bank, October – Zamokuhle crèche sponsored by (Innocent Smoothies, Fortis insurance, TK Maxx and EDF) and Lubulini Water Scheme project (Swaziland) – sponsored by Balfour Beatty Construction through the All4one2010 initiative. |

Fukamela Entrepreneurial Skills Development Programme Fukamela means Incubate... Imbumba has the established a small and medium enterprises for people residing in rural areas which are mainly underprivileged. We have identified and we are working with a cooperative group called ‘Nkosisihole Cooperative’ based at Mduku community which is in the northern part of UMkhanyakude District Municipality in KwaZulu Natal. The group manufactures and provide the following: school uniforms, soccer jerseys, curtains, work suite, etc to make a living and in time create employment opportunities in the community. |

Khuseleka Project Pogramme Khuseleka is a Xhosa word which means: ‘safety’ – this initiative focuses on people who are desperately in need of the following: food, shelter, clothing, etc... These are people who are mainly challenged and cannot be able to make ends meet. This concept we help provide shelters for people using local labour and they donate their time to help. The target for 2010 is to build 10 houses before the end of the year. Two houses have been completed and we are currently raising funds to provide more needy people with something they can call a home! |
